MINNEAPOLIS—A Hennepin County judge is deciding whether protesters who hung a banner at U.S. Bank Stadium during a Vikings game demanding the sponsor divest itself from the controversial Dakota Access Pipeline were trespassing or had a constitutional right to do it. Karl Zimmerman and Sen Holiday are using the misdemeanor case against them to amplify their opposition to the North Dakota energy project by calling witnesses to testify about the dangers of climate change and how civil disobedience can affect environmental policy, according to court records.
WALTON, Ky. — Vikings coach Mike Zimmer is not past the serious stage with his troublesome right eye, but finally there is light at the end of his long, dark tunnel. The gas bubble stabilizing his retina remains in place two weeks after Zimmer initially thought it would dissolve. He is scheduled to be examined by doctors in Cincinnati next week to determine whether he can resume flying — or will have to drive from his offseason home back to Minnesota for training camp.
