Waffle House shooting suspect Travis Reinking arrested, police say

Letter: Lawmakers need to act now to prevent a wolf hunt in Minnesota

The wild wolf needs to be protected from the possibility of a wolf hunt in Minnesota. Department of Natural Resources' policies affect the wolf, which plays a large role in our ecosystem as the top predator. Wolf hunting throws off the delicate balance of the forest ecosystem, and disrupts the pack culture.

Lawmakers need to act now to prevent a wolf hunt from again becoming legal in Minnesota. That's a top priority for me because the gray wolf's place on the federal Endangered Species List could change, throwing it into jeopardy of a ruthless and mindless Minnesota wolf hunt. I advocate for the wolf, an iconic Minnesota symbol, to be free from hunting, trapping and snaring.
