Eidsness to become Fargo associate superintendent

FARGO — Fargo Public Schools has hired Melissa Eidsness to be its next associate superintendent for elementary education. She starts July 1.

Eidsness has been the Moorhead Public Schools Assistant Superintendent of Learning and Accountability since 2015.

She takes over the Fargo post from Rachael Agre, who was named assistant superintendent of elementary education for West Fargo Public Schools. Agre starts there July 1.

Eidsness, a graduate of Concordia College, taught math in Moorhead Public Schools from 1992 to 2009. She was also a math curriculum consultant from 2006 to 2010.

In 2010, Eidsness became executive director of school improvement and accountability for Moorhead's public schools.

She has a master's degree in mathematics from Minot (N.D.) State University, and principal and superintendent licensures from Minnesota State University Moorhead. She also completed the Aspiring Superintendent's Academy. She is pursuing a doctorate in educational leadership from MSUM.
