Williston man injured in Otter Tail County crash

WADENA, Minn. - A Williston, N.D., man was injured Sunday afternoon, April 15, when the car he was driving hit an approach along Highway 29 and crashed into a tree, the Minnesota State Patrol reported.

Jonathan Beau Haase, 34, was driving a 2000 Nissan Frontier southbound on Highway 29 near 260th Street South, when he reached for a cell phone on the floor of the vehicle, the report said.

The Nissan then crossed over the northbound lane and into the east ditch, hitting an approach and launching the vehicle into the air. The vehicle then hit a tree before stopping, the report said.

Haase was taken to Tri County Health Care in Wadena for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, the report said.

The Henning Ambulance Service also responded to the crash, the report said.
