Lutheran Social Services dishes up global delights at A Taste of the World
FARGO—Lutheran Social Services invites people to sample international foods at A Taste of the World on Oct. 12.
The event celebrates the diversity of cuisines in the community. Eight area restaurants—India Palace, Darbar Palace, Rugsan, Salama Restaurant, Madina, Liberian Merry Go Round, African Express and Everest Tikka House—will offer an array of Nepali/Indian, Arab, Liberian, Vietnamese, Thai and Somali foods.
Art from around the globe will be featured in a silent auction and the evening's entertainment will include a Bhutanese youth dance troupe.
The event will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 12, at Lutheran Social Services of North Dakota, 3911 20th Ave. S., Fargo.
Tickets for food and one drink for this adults-only event are $40 with proceeds going toward humanitarian efforts in the LSSND New American program.
