Raso named new president, CEO of GFMEDC
FARGO -- Joseph Raso has been hired as the new president and CEO of the Greater Fargo Moorhead Economic Development Corp.
The announcement Tuesday afternoon, May 15, culminates a five-month, nationwide search.
Raso is president of Blane, Canada Ltd. He has more than 20 years of experience leading economic development organizations, including the Colorado Springs Business Alliance.
“We are excited to welcome Joseph Raso to our community,” said Jeffrey Volk, GFMEDC chairman and Moore Engineering president and CEO.
Raso is expected to start in his new post in late July.
His annual base pay will start at about $210,000.
He will also receive $25,000 to defray relocation costs and a monthly vehicle allowance of $750.
Raso’s contract with the GFMEDC is for four years.
He will fill the position left vacant with the retirement of Jim Gartin in March.
Paul Lucy, formerly of the North Dakota Department of Commerce, has been serving as interim president.
