Benson joins EagleRidge Companies full time

Fargo-based land developer EagleRidge Companies has hired former intern Abbey Benson as its director of corporate communications.

Benson graduated from Concordia College with a degree in business marketing and organizational leadership.

Appareo hires six, promotes one

Appareo recently hired Nicholle Bjerke, Greg Earnest, Mike Ehresmann, Kayle Johnson, Kelly Keller and Dan Muck at its headquarters in Fargo.

Bjerke joined as an accounting associate. She earned a bachelor's degree in liberal arts from Minnesota State University Moorhead.

Earnest is employed as a customer support specialist. He earned an associate's degree in electronics technology from Southeast Community College in Lincoln, Neb.

Ehresmann joined Appareo as a senior engineer, mechanical. He earned a master's degree in mechanical engineering from North Dakota State University.

Johnson is employed as a channel marketing coordinator. She graduated from Concordia College with a bachelor's degree in communication studies.

Keller has been hired as a territory manager servicing the central United States. She earned a bachelor's degree in international affairs from James Madison University.

Muck joined the company as a prototype buyer. He graduated from Rasmussen College with a bachelor's degree in business management analysis.

Also at this time, Tucker Richardson has been promoted to manager of new venture development. He started at Appareo in 2015 as a business analyst and most recently worked as a solutions engineer.

Pediatric Therapy Partners hires two

Pediatric Therapy Partners has hired Ashley Hovde and Vicki Link.

Hovde joined Pediatric Partners Neurobehavioral Health as a speech-language pathologist. She earned her master's degree in speech-language pathology from the University of North Dakota and bachelor's degree in speech-language and hearing sciences from Minnesota State University Moorhead.

Link joined as an office assistant at Pediatric Therapy Partners in Fargo. Link has been in the medical field for over nine years and has more than 15 years of office experience.

Braun hired by Myriad Mobile

Myriad Mobile of Fargo has hired Dane Braun as product owner for Bushel, a new mobile grain app platform.

Braun graduated from North Dakota State University with a master's degree in agribusiness and applied economics and a bachelor's degree in agricultural economics. He has a decade of experience in agriculture. His experience ranges from working as a farmhand for family, a crop scout and a research assistant to leadership positions in policy, strategy and analytics.

Braun will work to expand the footprint of Bushel to elevators and cooperatives throughout the country. He will also continue to add of new features to keep Bushel a relevant and vital tool.

First International promotes Perleberg, Stand

Carl Perleberg and Mark Strand have been promoted at First International Bank & Trust.

With over a decade of portfolio management, Perleberg has been promoted to senior portfolio manager.

Strand has been promoted to east region trust manager. He has over 20 years experience in financial services.

The Mortgage Company hires three

The Mortgage Company, Fargo, has hired Jodi Deplazes, Scott Philbrick and Chad Skarperud as mortgage loan originators. All three have several years of experience in the mortgage industry.

Sanford Health hires 10 doctors

Sanford Health has hired the following doctors to join the Fargo region team: Binara Assylbekova, Adisa Jones, Joshua Jost, Kelly Kerber, Jaroslaw Mateuszczyk, Emuejevoke Okoh, Sheryl Sahr, Viju Varhese, Radhakrishna Vegunta and Jagila Wesley.

Assylbekova earned her medical degree from Kazakh National Medical University in Almaty, Kazakhstan. She is board certified in clinical and anatomical pathology by the American Board of Pathology.

Jones earned his medical degree and completed his critical care fellowship at Brown Alpert Medical School in Providence, R.I. He is board certified in critical care and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Jost earned his osteopathic degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in Missouri. Jost specializes in internal medicine as a hospitalist.

Kerber earned her medical degree from St. George's University School of Medicine in Grenada. She specializes in internal medicine as a hospitalist.

Mateuszczyk earned his medical degree from the Medical University of Warsaw in Poland. He is board certified in critical care and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Okoh earned his medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School in Minneapolis. He is certified in gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Sahr earned her medical degree from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine in Grand Forks. She is board certified in general surgery and surgical critical care by the American Board of Surgery.

Varghese earned his medical degree from Manipal College of Medical Sciences in Nepal. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of North Dakota.

Vegunta earned his medical degree from Andhra Medical College in India. He is board certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Wesley received her medical degree from St. George's University School of Medicine. She is board certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics.

BlackridgeBANK promotes four, hires eight

BlackridgeBank has announced four promotions and eight new hires.

At the West Fargo branch, Diana Chase was promoted to assistant vice president and client services, Jace Holm was promoted to client services coordinator, and Eric Krupke was promoted to client services associate. At the Fargo branch, Marty Sorenson was promoted to operations manager.

Corporate new hires include: Lynnsey Clarke, operations specialist; Dallas Becker, compliance specialist; Tyler Freyholtz, network administration; and Ashley Kossan, mortgage loan closer. New hires at the West Fargo branch include: Sarah Larson, credit analyst; Allison Monsen, client service representative; and Jamie Mattern as administrative associate. Mary Kate Schmidt joined BlackRidgeBANK as an operations associate at the Fargo branch.

Skonseng joins Berkshire Hathaway

Travis Skonseng has joined Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Premier Properties. Skonseng is a licensed Realtor in North Dakota and Minnesota. He will concentrate on selling and listing residential properties in the Fargo-Moorhead area and surrounding communities.

Skonseng graduated from North Dakota State University with a business degree and a minor in psychology. He continued his education studying communications at Minnesota State University Moorhead. Skonseng worked in the news industry as an anchor, executive producer and reporter for the local ABC-TV and FOX-TV affiliates.

Cass County Electric hires Swanson

Cass County Electric Cooperative has hired Zack Swanson as an energy management specialist. He has earned certifications from North Dakota State College of Science, Wahpeton, and IEC Dakotas. Swanson previously worked for Verwest Contracting and Bergstrom Electric.

Widmer Roel promotes four

Widmer Roel has promoted Krista Emineth to supervisor; Matthew Nelson and Andrew Huus to senior staff accountants in the tax department; and Scott Fossum to senior staff accountant.

Emineth joined the firm in 2010 and earned her bachelor's degree from Minnesota State University Moorhead.

Nelson joined Widmer Roel in 2014 and earned a bachelor's degree from North Dakota State University. Huus also joined Widmer Roel in 2014 and earned a bachelor's degree from University of North Dakota, Grand Forks.

Fossum joined the firm in 2014 and has a bachelor's degree from NDSU.

Discovery Benefits has hired Quang-Minh Tran as a participant services specialist.

Sandman Structural Engineers hires two

Sandman Structural Engineers in Moorhead has hired Chris Gjerde as a structural technician and Tim Gleason as a structural designer and engineer in training. Gjerde graduated from Augsburg College in Minneapolis in 2005 with an applied mathematics degree. He previously worked at KT Irrigation as a parts manager and CAD drafter. Gleason graduated from North Dakota State University in May with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering.

NDSU names interim chair of electrical and computer engineering

Associate Professor Benjamin Braaten has been named interim chair of the electrical and computer engineering department at North Dakota State University. Braaten joined NDSU in 2009 and is director of the Applied Electromagnetics Laboratory. He earned his bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees in electrical engineering from NDSU. He conducted post-doctoral research at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology.

Peterson Farms Seed hires two

Peterson Farms Seed near Prosper, N.D., has hired Ryan Peters and Nathan Trosen. Peters joins the warehouse team. He previously worked at American Crystal Sugar Company in Moorhead, and he graduated from South Dakota State University with an ag systems and technology degree. Trosen joins the warehouse and trucking teams. He has a commercial driver's license and previously worked for Richards Farm and Richards Trucking.
